Find the graveyard reliquary

Take the elevator to Floor 3. The maze layout changes each run, but the relic room is usually found by hugging the right side and taking the available turns. The room looks like a graveyard or ruined mansion, with a coffin in the center and tombstones around it.

If you pass a room with a tall purple door or a glowing purple wall, you are close. The Biter roams the floor, so keep moving and avoid backtracking into its path.

Read the riddle and the tombstones

The riddle asks you to count the years between birth and death and choose the three shortest lives. It then tells you to set them as children file to choir, small to tall. Small means the shortest lifespan, not the smallest symbol number.

Each tombstone gives a name, a symbol, and a birth year and death year. The gravestones are spread across the first room, the hint room, and the area near the coffin. Read all of them before touching the lock.

Enter the three symbols

1. Face the coffin lockThe Grave Lock has three symbol positions. The left position is the shortest life, the middle is the second, and the right is the third.
2. Unlock the mousePress M to free the cursor. Click the dials to cycle each symbol to the one you recorded.
3. Press OpenWhen all three match, press Open. A correct answer opens the coffin and gives you the relic.

If the lock rejects the code, recheck the subtraction. A one-year error is enough to change the order. Also confirm that you did not use a symbol from a tombstone outside the three shortest lives.

Carry the relic back to the elevator

Take the relic out of the graveyard and return to the elevator. Getting caught by the floor's monster can interrupt the run; the exact Floor 3 reset behavior is not documented consistently, so treat any encounter as a risk to the relic rather than testing it.

Ride the elevator back to the hub. The Festering Felix is awarded when the floor is completed. If it does not appear immediately, check the elevator exit and your inventory before replaying.

Why the puzzle usually fails

• Copying a code: the gravestones and symbols are randomized per player.
• Sorting wrong: the order is shortest lifespan first, not alphabetical or symbol order.
• Using the wrong three: the riddle wants the three shortest lives, not the three oldest graves.
• Leaving the relic: the reward is tied to returning it to the elevator, not just opening the coffin.
• Reading a partial tombstone: check both years on every stone before calculating.
