Collect in the lobby, not the match
Enter Duck Duck from The Hollow hub. The event area is the lobby above the normal game; the candy is placed around that lobby. Do not queue into a match expecting the counter to rise.
Walk the lobby in a loop and pick up every candy you pass. The pieces are spread across the floor rather than concentrated in one corner.
The 250-candy count
The objective is 250 candy. The recorded run had already picked up five pieces just by entering the lobby, so the count is individual pieces, not a hidden score. Keep moving until the quest panel shows the target complete.
There is no published fastest route. A full lobby sweep is the practical method; the candy respawns or is distributed widely enough that you should not need to wait in one spot.
What Duck Duck pays
Duck Duck is in The Outskirts. Completing its quest pays 20 tickets and a badge. If Duck Duck is the featured game, it pays another 20 when you log into The Hollow hub on that day.
There is no Duck Duck UGC pedestal. Do not search the hub for one; the reward is the ticket payout.
Do not confuse it with the Family Zone event
Roblox also announced a separate Duck Duck and Family Zone Halloween crossover. That is a different promotion. The Hollow quest is the 250-candy lobby collection tracked in The Hollow's own counter.
If you see Family Zone rewards or a different Duck Duck event panel, check that the quest title mentions The Hollow before spending time on it.
Frequently asked questions
How many candy do I need in Duck Duck?
250. Collect it in the Hollow lobby, not inside a match.
Does Duck Duck give a UGC item?
No. It is an Outskirts game, so it pays tickets and a badge only.
How many tickets does Duck Duck pay?
20 tickets, plus 20 more if Duck Duck is the featured Outskirts game that day.
Is the Family Zone event the same quest?
No. The Family Zone crossover is a separate Roblox promotion. The Hollow quest is the 250-candy lobby collection.
